Shaw Han

Overview

Shaw Han is a male human Hunter and Vanguard operative introduced in Destiny 2: Beyond Light. He leads fireteams on dangerous missions across the Solar System and serves as the Cosmodrome vendor. He guides new players through the New Light introduction, handing out early quests such as A Guardian Rises and Learning Light.

Location

Shaw is found in the Cosmodrome on Earth, beside an old truck below the Steppes landing zone.

Background

Four years after the SIVA Crisis, Shaw was deployed to the Cosmodrome with Maeve and Caster-3 to investigate Hive activity. A rushed scan led to a Hive ambush led by Navôta, Eir Spawn, which killed Caster-3 and Maeve. Shaw was the sole survivor and stayed on as the Vanguard's representative in the Cosmodrome.

New Light

Beyond Light's version of the Cosmodrome serves as a tutorial zone, and Shaw is the guide in it. In 4.0.0.1, a patch stopped him from offering repeatable bounties to new characters until they finish A Guardian Rises, which saves new players' Glimmer.
