Identify Friend/Foe

Overview

Identify Friend/Foe is a Triumph in Destiny 2 that requires collecting all seven Vex Countermands in the Encore Exotic Mission. Encore is part of the Episode: Echoes campaign, set in the Planetary Core on Nessus, and is started from the H.E.L.M.. It has three variants: Overture, Concerto and Coda.

How to complete

The seven Vex Countermands are collectibles hidden around the mission. A proximity alert sounds when you are near one. Locations, in order through the mission:

1. Starting area: drop into the large sphere on the far right, then drop again through the small opening to the Vex waterfall. It is on the right ledge outside.
2. After the purple room: in the open area with a few enemies, before the first main puzzle, jump onto a hidden ledge at the top right.
3. Circular chamber: the room with a pool of Vex milk. After using the first lift, it is on the ledge straight ahead.
4. Blue room: before the first boss fight, look behind the portal you entered through. It is on a ledge you jump across to reach.
5. First boss arena: go far left past the portal, behind some bushes next to a giant wall.
6. Dome-shaped building area: go inside the broken building. It is on the left side.
7. Next area: past a Vex portal on the right, with a cliff on the left. It is on top of that cliff.
