History of Kra'lok

Overview

Kra'lok, the Sword is one of the twin Nightmares of the Scorn that guard a Haunted Alcove in the Pleasure Gardens on the Derelict Leviathan. He is paired with Ha'lok, the Shield, and the two first appeared in Season of the Haunted. Kra'lok is a Solar Scorn Chieftain of Ultra rank and is the tankier of the pair.

Encounter

A message reading 'A sword and shield clash together...' signals that the pair can be found. Players climb the rocks near the Castellum entrance to reach the alcove, where a Nightmare Raider waits at the end of the corridor. Once that enemy notices the player, a warning says the Nightmares are beginning to slip away, so the room must be cleared quickly or they despawn.

Waves of Nightmare Raiders, Lurkers and Minor-tier Raiders come first. After enough of them are defeated, Kra'lok and Ha'lok appear, with Kra'lok spawning in a shallow pool in the center of the room. Both are very hard to damage, but the lesser enemies drop Unstable Essence on death, which makes attacks against the Sword and Shield far more effective. Kra'lok also summons Solar Ether Totems.

Rewards

Defeating both Nightmares before they despawn opens a chest with loot and earns the Nightmare Breached triumph.
