Lab Bats

Overview

Lab Bats is a secret triumph in the Failsafe research set, worth 10 Triumph Score. It is earned by interacting with Babata and Petris, the two Nessian Batadactyls kept in the H.E.L.M.. The Batadactyls come from the Nessus specimen work that Failsafe ran during Episode: Echoes.

How to complete

The triumph only becomes available after the Nessus quest that gives the Batadactyls to Failsafe, which begins after the Encore: Coda Exotic mission.

1. On Nessus, collect 20 Data Seeds. Each Data Lattice gives one, and chests can drop them too.
2. Gather 7 Tree Branches from the treetops on Nessus. Waypoints mark them.
3. Speak with Suraya Hawthorne at the Bazaar in the Tower about avian care.
4. Return to Failsafe in the H.E.L.M. and review her specimen report.
5. Use the marked waypoint in the H.E.L.M. to give Babata and Petris their new home. Failsafe gives an Ascendant Shard for the Batadactyls.
6. Interact with Babata and Petris in the H.E.L.M. to earn Lab Bats.

Tip: the Batadactyls are in the Refraction Construct, through the third portal on the right from the portal hub reached from the Ishtar Research Facility. They sit on a table that unlocks once the barriers drop from the puzzle. The Ishtar Research Facility is the room just before the Choral Mind boss fight.
