History of Le Monarque

Overview

Le Monarque is an Exotic Void Combat Bow made by the Black Armory (designed by Ada-1). Its intrinsic is Overload (stuns Overload Champions) and its exotic trait is Poison Arrows: arrows fired quickly after a full draw become poison arrows, and precision hits spread poison to nearby enemies. It pairs well with the Hunter exotic Oathkeeper, which removes the poison-arrow timing window. It was listed among the strongest exotics as of late 2025.

Acquisition

• Black Armory Forges (original): it was earned through a quest requiring Fallen kills with bows and forging ten Radiant Gold Frames in the Black Armory Forges. Those Forges are no longer current.
• Monument to Lost Lights: added since Beyond Light.
• Exotic Archive at the Tower: its listed source.

Catalyst

The catalyst is Unrelenting.

Notes

Older guides describe a different intrinsic; Overload was added in Season of Plunder.
