Lightbearer Wizard

Overview

Lightbearer Wizards are Hive Wizards that a Ghost has resurrected and granted the Light. They are among the most dangerous enemies introduced in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, and a Ghost can keep bringing them back.

They fly around firing Darkness blasts and throw Pulse grenades. They also place healing rifts that restore nearby Hive health. When their eyes glow blue, their Super is ready.

Defeating them

Keep your distance and use heavy weapons. Sustained damage stops a Wizard from healing its allies with a rift. After a Wizard dies, its Hive Ghost must be crushed quickly, or the Wizard resurrects after a time limit. Use cover against their grenades and lightning.

Locations

They appear in The Witch Queen campaign missions, Throne World patrol areas, Lucent Hive public events, seasonal activities featuring the Lucent Brood, Altars of Reflection and some post-campaign content.

Rewards

Defeating them can yield Lucent Moths in the campaign, Throne World weapons and armor, seasonal currencies and triumph progress.
