MCXX.

Overview

MCXX. is a lore triumph tied to the Chronicon, a lore book added with Season of Opulence. Its entry was recorded by Scribe Shagac and is filed under Emperor Calus, Rasputin and the Aphelion lore.

The entry tells the story of Calus building his army and fleet and settling the Sol system. The Vanguard of Earth and the War Machine Rasputin send him an ultimatum to withdraw. Calus lets his Shadow of Earth negotiate, but the Vanguard refuse and declare war. The Vanguard are allowed to leave the Leviathan unharmed.

The Shadow then reclaims Athenaeum World X, recovers knowledge of the Aphelion, and rebuilds a stronger Loyalist fleet. It attacks Rasputin's seat of power in the Hellas Basin on Mars and reduces the War Machine to cinders. Some accounts add that the Vanguard surrendered and begged for mercy, which was refused.

How to complete

Chronicon entries are unlocked by upgrading the Chalice of Opulence. The Chronicon is propaganda in Calus's favor, so its accounts of events, including predicted future ones, are told from his side.
