Message from Aunor IX

Overview

Message from Aunor IX is a triumph in Destiny 2 tied to the lore book The Warlock Aunor, added in Season of the Drifter. The message is from the Praxic Warlock Aunor Mahal, and is filed under the Drifter, The Nine and Orin entries as well as the book.

Message

Aunor thanks the recipient for the transcripts and suspects the Drifter has taken on a protege, possibly another young war hero who may be recording lessons that could hold useful evidence.

Aunor then describes the Nine. Scholars and Guardians once sought them out after speaking with Xûr. After the Red War, the Sunbreaker Orin returned as the Emissary and set up the Trials. Disappearances have stopped since then, though some called them abductions.

The Praxic Order does not consider the Nine allies of the Darkness. Reef intelligence says the Awoken Queen is working with them, which Aunor sees as a troubling priority.

How to unlock

1. Collect the Aunor messages that arrive in the Postmaster.
2. Archive each message with X. This opens the book under Stolen Intelligence in the lore section.
3. Entries unlock as Aunor sends new messages and as the investigation into the Drifter progresses.

Tips

Read the book in order. Aunor closes this message by asking the recipient to find out what the Nine want with the Drifter and to report any trouble, and to keep emotional language out of their reports.
