Nightmare of Zydron

Nightmare of Zydron, Gate Lord is the Nightmare of the Vex Gate Lord Zydron, recreated by the Lunar Pyramid with Darkness. It is the Aspect of Servitude, and the final-tier boss of Altars of Sorrow, a player-initiated public event in Sorrow's Harbor on The Moon from Shadowkeep. On the day Zydron is the final boss, the Altars weapon is the Heretic rocket launcher.

Nightmare Hunt: Servitude

Zydron is the boss of Nightmare Hunt: Servitude, fought at the Black Garden portal in the Lunar Battlegrounds. It appears as players near the gate and summons Major Nightmare Vex. It roams the area, attacking with its Torch Hammer and stomping nearby players. As its health drops it periodically becomes immune and summons more Major Nightmares, which must be killed before it can be damaged again. Goblins with Solar Absorption Shields also appear. Dealing damage quickly can skip the immunity phases.

Altars of Sorrow

In the final tier, Zydron stays near the Scarlet Keep entrance and fires on Guardians. Its immunity phases follow the same pattern as the other Final Nightmares.

Heretic

The Heretic is one of three Altars weapons. A 2019 guide said it could only be earned every third day, from the end-of-run chest. A rotation table covering 2025 pairs Zydron with the Heretic.
