No Time to Explain Catalyst is a Triumph in Destiny 2 that requires defeating 700 targets with the exotic No Time to Explain Pulse Rifle. The same 700 kills also charge the weapon's catalyst.

The weapon

No Time to Explain is an exotic Kinetic Pulse Rifle with a High-Impact Frame. Its intrinsic, Rewind Again, returns rounds to the magazine on precision hits and on shots at targets slowed or frozen by Stasis. After 10 stacks, Time-Slip opens a portal that fires bullets from an alternate-timeline version of the weapon.

How to earn the catalyst

  1. Get the Soon quest from the Exo Stranger.
  2. Collect five schematic code fragments by defeating enemies at the Bray Exoscience facility in west Cadmus Ridge.
  3. Speak with the Exo Stranger to advance the quest.
  4. Get 60 Vex kills with the weapon in The Glassway or the Well of Infinitude, both reached through the Nexus on Europa. Patrol activities have more Vex than strikes, so they are the better choice.
  5. Speak with the Exo Stranger again to receive the catalyst.

What the catalyst does

The catalyst grants the exotic trait Blast from the Side, which makes projectiles from the time portal fire more frequently. After 700 kills with the weapon, the Masterworked catalyst unlocks the trait.

Triumph

For the triumph, use the weapon for 700 kills. Strikes and Nightfalls are a practical place to rack up kills.
