Final blows and precision hits with Hawkmoon grant stacks of Paracausal Charge, increasing damage versus combatants. The final round in the magazine greatly increases damage based on the number of stacks. Stowing Hawkmoon on the final round removes this bonus.
Overview
Paracausal Shot is the intrinsic perk on Hawkmoon, an Exotic Hand Cannon. Final blows and precision hits each add a stack of Paracausal Charge. The stacks do nothing on their own. They pay off on the last round in the magazine, which deals bonus damage that scales with the stack count.
Stowing Hawkmoon while that final round is loaded removes the bonus, so finish the magazine before swapping. Guides rate it as a strong PvP perk, while PvE players usually pick other Hand Cannons.
The catalyst, Hunter's Trance, uses the stacks to boost handling, reload speed and range.
