Parodos, Choral Mind

Overview

Parodos, Choral Mind is a Vex Hydra and the final boss of the Encore exotic mission, Encore: Overture. It sits inside a Vex shield in a large cavern connected to the Ishtar Research Facility.

Walkthrough

1. Kill the Independent Variable that spawns carrying the Vex Module//CONNECTION and place the module in the central bowl.
2. Activate the Vex Conflux to move Parodos and its shield to the side where the module sits. An Uplifted Choral Cyclops spawns on that side.
3. Move the module to the bowl on Parodos's side. Kill incoming Vex until the plate reaches 100%. This exposes a pyramid on the barrier; destroy it to lower the shield.
4. Damage Parodos while it is vulnerable. It then goes immune and returns to its shield. Repeat until it loses half its health.
5. Around half health, deletion walls appear and Independent Variables carrying Vex Module//ACCESS spawn. Kill the Minotaurs for the module and install it to open the portals to the left, right and centre sections. Repeat the Connection process until Parodos is at a quarter health.
6. In the final phase Parodos retreats to the centre and fires at you. Destroy the exposed pyramid to remove the shield and finish the fight.

If the weak point diamond fails to spawn after a plate is captured, the fight can softlock and require a reset, according to player reports.

Rewards

Completing the mission grants the Choir of One, an Exotic Auto Rifle with a unique Special ammo variant.
