Overview

Payback is the twelfth story mission of the original The Red War campaign. It takes place in the European Dead Zone (Earth) at the Red Legion base, with Commander Zavala and Cayde-6 in support. Recommended power is +160, solo. It requires Fury, and the flag appears after you visit The Farm and speak to Suraya Hawthorne.

Objectives

  1. Reach the shipyards of the Red Legion base (heavy use of the Drake tank).
  2. Advance to the Red Legion carrier.
  3. Destroy three generators to disable the carrier's shield.
  4. Ground the carrier.

Enemies are Cabal: War Beasts, Psions, Legionaries, Phalanxes, Centurions, with Goliath Tanks as bosses. The goal is to find Thumos, the Unbroken.

Notes

The Red War campaign was replaced by the New Light campaign structure with Destiny 2: Beyond Light, so this mission is now only a replayable/vaulted story activity.
