Persys, Primordial Ruin

Persys, Primordial Ruin is a Vex Wyvern of the Sol Divisive faction, rank Vex Mind and Ultra. It is the final boss of the Spire of the Watcher dungeon from Season of the Seraph. The Witness sent it and one other Sol Divisive mind to infiltrate the Ares Spire, steal its data and overload the reactor. Its name derives from the Greek Titan Perses.

Encounter

Persys is found trying to overload the Seraph Reactor Core. A stray shot or getting too close starts the fight, the door shuts and Vex reinforcements arrive. Two Incarcerator Hydras spawn, and destroying them brings Conduit Minotaurs. Destroying those grants the Arctrician buff.

Buffed Guardians shoot five red-wire nodes to open the gate and the yellow-wire nodes. Two yellow-wire paths must be completed to start the reactor purge. Persys must be lured into the reactor core room, or the purge deactivates. Red nodes reopen during this phase and can be shot to seal Persys inside.

When the core purges, Persys absorbs the radiation, its shield drops and the gate reopens. The team has about ten seconds to damage it while it is vulnerable. The shield then returns and the cycle repeats until Persys is destroyed.
