Power Surge

Overview

Power Surge is a Season 29 trait on the Exotic Turncoat, a Hand Cannon obtained from the Rewards Pass. Rapid hits charge your next shot into an explosive round that deals extra damage and speeds up Latent Power buildup when it hits.

How it plays

The charge comes from landing rapid hits, so the perk rewards steady, quick firing rather than slow, deliberate shots. Once charged, the next shot becomes an explosive round. While the empowered state lasts, every shot is explosive, which turns each trigger pull into area damage.

Behaviour

Power Surge is separate from Turncoat's Latent Power intrinsic, so the two effects stack on the same weapon. Currently only Turncoat rolls this trait.
