Overview

A precision hit is a hit on a target's weakspot, usually the head. Precision hits deal extra damage, and many weapon perks and frames reward them.

Players often ask whether a perk needs precision hits to work. For example, the Precision Frame keeps recoil vertical, but it also gives a 25% in-air accuracy penalty, and in the air a weapon only crits when aimed right at the head unless Airborne Effectiveness is high enough.
