History of Precursor

Overview

Precursors are a Vex variant with silver-white frames and angular headgear. Their casings are described as predating humanity's arrival on Earth, and their exact origins are unknown.

In Destiny they appear as Majors. Their units include Precursor versions of Fanatics, Harpies, Goblins, Hobgoblins, Minotaurs, Wyverns, Hydras and Cyclops, along with Precursor Gatekeepers and Praetorians.

Isolated Incidents

In the lore entry Isolated Incidents, field reports describe Precursors leading groups of ordinary Vex Goblins. In one report the Goblins wear glowing collars while the Precursor does not, and the group moves in tight formation. Precursors also fight alongside Nessus Vex in another report.
