Proxy

Proxies are Vex-simulated entities created by the Infinite Forest to lead other simulated units. They first appeared in Curse of Osiris and are listed among the Vex enemies. Some were created by Panoptes to control nearby units and protect it, and some broke free of its control and caused havoc across the Forest.

A Daemon is a specialised kind of Proxy that blocks progress: it stands in the passage to each level of the Forest and stays there until it is killed. Other Proxies are named individually, including Hive examples such as Urzod and Vex examples such as Methodios. Proxy variants include the Daemon, the Encryption Daemon and the Terror.
