Reef Wars

Overview

The Reef Wars were conflicts in the Sol System asteroid belt between the Awoken of the Reef and the Fallen House of Wolves. They began after the Scatter at Ceres, when Queen Mara Sov's Harbingers destroyed Ceres and more than half of the Wolves. Virixas, the Kell of Wolves, was killed in the attack.

The surviving Wolves split into factions led by Irxis, Parixas and Skolas. Skolas, called the Rabid, defeated his rivals and declared himself Kell. The wars ended when Variks, a former House of Judgment scribe, betrayed Skolas to the Reef, which captured him along with most of his House. Variks then declared Mara Sov the new Kell of Wolves, and many captive Wolf nobles pledged allegiance to her.

Aftermath

Skolas was imprisoned in the Prison of Elders after an earlier uprising failed. Years later he was freed and launched the Wolf Rebellion, which aimed to rule all Fallen Houses.
