History of Salvation's Grip Catalyst

Overview

Salvation's Grip Catalyst is an Exotic Catalyst record under Power Weapons. Defeat four hundred combatants with Salvation's Grip after acquiring its catalyst.

Acquisition

The catalyst was released with Episode: Revenant and can drop from completed ritual activities, including Gambit, Crucible, and the Vanguard activity playlist. The former Vanguard Ops node was replaced by Fireteam Ops in June 2026.

How to complete

Use Salvation's Grip to secure combatant final blows, collecting Heavy Ammo as needed. Work through groups with its crystals and explosive shots until four hundred defeats are recorded, then apply the finished catalyst in the weapon's details.

The upgrade adds Rimestealer: destroying a Stasis Crystal or defeating a frozen target with the weapon grants Frost Armor. Freezing an enemy without defeating it does not replace the combatant-defeat objective.
