History of Scorned Organist

The Scorned Organist is a secret boss in Kell's Fall. The fight is reachable in the Diffraction variant of the mission, where the organ's keys are present. It can reportedly also be reached in the Distortion variant once enough organ buttons work.

Triggering the fight

Stand on the plate in front of the organ in the Bailey and shoot its 13 numbered buttons, numbered 1 to 13 from left to right, in the order 10, 4, 6, 1, 11, 4, 8, 1. A single-shot weapon such as a Scout Rifle helps avoid hitting buttons by accident. Entering the melody teleports the Fireteam to the Conservatory for the fight.

Fight

The Scorned Organist teleports into a large chamber a few seconds after the team arrives. Other enemies join, and the boss periodically drops Void shield totems. At about two-thirds health it becomes immune and summons a Tormentor, which must be killed before the boss can take damage again. The Tormentor can dive-bomb players and end their Super early. After the boss and its adds are defeated, the team is teleported back in front of the organ.

Key Fieldwork

The fight is the final step of Eido's Act III Key Fieldwork assignment, after the Act III Minor and Major Fieldwork. The organist leaves the organ and the instrument gains new notes in the Distortion variant, but no fight occurs there.
