History of Season of Opulence

Overview

Season of Opulence (also called Penumbra) was the seventh season of Destiny 2 and the final season of the Forsaken annual pass. It ran from June 4 to September 30, 2019, and followed Season of the Drifter. It introduced the Menagerie, a six-player matchmade activity on Calus's ship the Leviathan with randomized encounters, and the Chalice of Opulence, which lets players choose the type of gear they earn at the end of each Menagerie run. Guardians could become "Shadows of Calus" by joining Calus's Loyalist regime. The season also added the Crown of Sorrow, a pinnacle PvE raid in the Leviathan's underbelly.

Exotic quests

Three Exotic quests were available: Lumina, Truth and Bad Juju. Truth and Bad Juju reprise Exotics from Destiny.
