Overview
Season of the Drifter was the sixth season of Destiny 2 and the second seasonal content of the Destiny 2: Forsaken Annual Pass. It ran from March 5 to June 4, 2019 (some press coverage gives different end dates; Destinypedia and the Destiny 2 Wiki both list June 4).
Story
The Drifter introduces a new, harder version of Gambit, which causes friction in the Vanguard and among Guardians. Orin appears as the Emissary of the Nine, tied to visions of the Drifter's past.
Activities
- Gambit Prime: a one-round Gambit mode with four roles (Reaper, Invader, Collector, Sentry) and matching armor sets.
- The Reckoning: a PvE activity unlocked by finishing a Gambit Prime match, which rewards Gambit Prime gear.
Notable items
Exotics Thorn, Arbalest and Outbreak Perfected, and legendary weapons such as The Recluse.
