History of Sect of Force

Overview

Sect of Force is an Exotic Aeon Cult mod introduced in Season of the Chosen (Season 13). It is obtained automatically when you acquire any of the Aeon Swift, Aeon Soul or Aeon Safe gauntlets, and it can only be socketed in those three. It takes no armor charges and costs no Glimmer to socket. While it is active, the armor emits a red light.

The Sect of Force role punishes powerful enemies before they can harm allies.

Perks

• Aeon's Wrath: landing quick, precise hits with a weapon temporarily boosts reload and weapon swap speed.
• Foebreaker Chant: stunning a Champion, or defeating a boss or miniboss, gives nearby fireteam members a burst of grenade and melee energy. Aeon Cult allies without the Sect of Force role also receive a burst of Super energy.

Teamwork

Each ally perk gives an extra benefit to fireteam members who chose a different Aeon Cult role, so a three-player team gets the most value when each member picks a different mod. The other roles are Sect of Insight and Sect of Vigor.
