History of Sever - Grief

Overview

Sever - Grief is a story mission in the Season of the Haunted (Season of the Haunted) campaign quest Bound in Sorrow, part of the Sever series where you and Zavala perform severance rituals against Nightmares aboard the Derelict Leviathan (the garden). Hidden agents have found ingress into the depths; you infiltrate the Underbelly with Zavala. Recommended Power 1560. Season of the Haunted ended in 2022; I could not confirm from sources whether the mission is replayable now.

Walkthrough

1. Infiltrate the Underbelly depths with Zavala, clearing Scorn until the progress bar fills.
2. Place Ritual Amplifiers at the marked locations.
3. Resolve the electrical hazard with a wrench and Egregore spores, avoiding electrified pipes, and do some platforming.
4. Defeat the Nightmare of Kethiks, who has several health bars; clear the spawned adds between phases.

Rewards

Advances Bound in Sorrow from step 16 to step 18 and lets you open a Bound Chest with a Bound Presence (ProGameTalk). Requires reaching quest step 16.
