Severed

Overview

Sever (the page is titled Severed) is a Strand debuff that makes an enemy less able to affect the physical world, which lowers its damage output. It is one of the three Strand debuffs introduced with Destiny 2: Lightfall, alongside Suspend and Unravel. Suspend lifts a PvE enemy into the air and effectively disables it. Unravel makes threads burst out of an unravelled enemy and strike nearby targets, with each target hit also becoming unravelled.

Tangles

Tangles are created by defeating enemies with Strand abilities. A Tangle can be shot to make it explode, or picked up and thrown at enemies. Hunters' grapple also creates a persistent grapple Tangle, and Widow's Silk lets Hunters chain Tangles so the team can use them to move around. Destroying a Tangle gives Titans Woven Mail through the Into the Fray Aspect, and the Thread of Fury Fragment grants melee energy for damaging targets with a Tangle.
