Shaping: Extraction is a The Witch Queen era (Season 16) tutorial quest for Deepsight Resonance and weapon crafting. It becomes available at the Relic Conduit in the Enclave on Mars right after The Relic. It takes about 15-30 minutes.

Obtain a Resonant weapon from the Throne World, rituals or other activities, then extract its Pattern or dismantle it.
Complete the weapon objective (check the weapon tooltip or details screen) to unlock its Pattern and Resonant Elements.
Extract or dismantle a Deepsight Resonant weapon for Weapon Pattern progress. This gives one segment of a Pattern and consumes the weapon's Resonance.
Return to the Relic Conduit in the Enclave on Mars.

Obtain a Resonant weapon from the Throne World, rituals, or other activities, and extract the Pattern mod or dismantle the weapon to make Weapon Pattern progress.

Complete the weapon objective to unlock its Pattern and Resonant Elements. Check the objective in the weapon tooltip or details screen.
- Pattern progress made
A Deepsight Resonant weapon can provide Weapon Pattern progress by extracting the pattern in the weapon details screen. Dismantling the weapon also gives Weapon Pattern progress. Extract or dismantle a Resonant weapon to progress. This process only provides one segment of a Weapon's Pattern. Once the extraction or dismantle is complete, all the Resonance is consumed for that weapon.

Return to the Relic Conduit in the Enclave on Mars.
