Solar Grenade

Solar Grenade is a Grenade ability with the Solar element. It first appeared in Destiny and returned in Destiny 2.

Overview

The grenade flies along a trail and explodes on contact. On impact it sets a burn that damages enemies and stops their health regeneration. The blast then lasts about four seconds, damaging anything inside it. Multiple damage-over-time effects from this grenade do not stack, and the explosion can damage the user.

Subclasses

Reported class access varies between listings: some list the grenade for Warlock alone, while others list it for all Solar subclasses across Warlock, Hunter and Titan: Dawnblade, Gunslinger and Sunbreaker. The Dawnblade Touch of Flame Aspect modifies the grenade by extending its duration and making it emit lava blobs.

Modifiers

The Sunbracers armor increases Solar grenade duration. Reported Sunbracers effects vary: one listing gives grenade energy on melee hits, and another gives unlimited grenade energy for a short time after Solar melee kills. The Destiny version, Sunbreakers, increased duration only.
