History of Special ammo

Special ammo is the middle of Destiny 2's three ammo types, shown as green ammo bricks, which drop less often than Primary ammo and more often than Heavy ammo. Special-ammo weapons include Fusion Rifles, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, Trace Rifles, Glaives and Breech Grenade Launchers. Primary weapons have infinite ammo, so Special and Heavy ammo are saved for tougher enemies, which is why the Special slot matters in activities like Checkmate Control.
