Strange Cookies

Strange Cookies are a Legendary Holiday Gift item introduced in Season 5 and available only during The Dawning. They are baked in Eva's Holiday Oven and delivered to Xûr for a reward.

Overview

The cookies are a Dawning recipe item. Players bake them and give them to Xûr, wherever he is located. The in-game description says they are to be delivered to Xûr "wherever the Nine have wished him to be."

Recipe

The recipe is 1 Taken Butter, 1 Electric Flavor and 15 Essence of Dawning. A Masterworked oven reduces the Essence cost to 10.

Ingredients

• Taken Butter drops by chance from Taken enemies.
• Electric Flavor drops by chance from enemies killed with Arc damage, including Arc abilities and weapons.
• Essence of Dawning is given at the start of the Dawning quest and can be farmed from most enemies. Public events and Strikes are fast sources.

A popular farm is the Aphelion's Rest Lost Sector in the Dreaming City, which has plenty of Taken.

Reward

Xûr gives a Dawning Delivery in exchange for the cookies. It opens automatically and contains a random item, such as Glimmer or Legendary gear.

Trivia

The recipe and ingredient drop rates come from the Dawning Event 2025 guides. Recipes for later Dawning events may differ, so check the in-game oven.
