History of Strange Key

The Strange Key is a quest object in the Magnum Opus exotic quest. It is obtained from Xur once the player reaches Strange Favor rank 4, after collecting seven Strange Coins from Dares of Eternity runs, bringing them to Starhorse and completing three Starhorse bounties.

In the Dares of Eternity arena the key is used at a spot found with hot-and-cold hints. It reveals the Anomalous Object, which Banshee-44 repairs to receive the Forerunner exotic sidearm.
