Taming the Storm is an Exotic quest from Ikora Rey in the Tower Bazaar, added in Season of the Deep. It teaches Arc Jolt and rewards class Exotic armor. It needs all three Light subclasses unlocked, so New Light players must finish Stoking The Flame and its siblings first.

Speak with Ikora Rey.
With an Arc subclass, defeat 120 Jolted targets, 40 targets with abilities and cast 3 Supers. Use Jolt Fragments such as Spark of Shock.
Defeat a boss in any Ops activity with Arc equipped. Older sources describe this step as looting the Exodus Garden 2A Lost Sector in the Cosmodrome; the current in-game text asks for a boss defeat.
Speak with Ikora Rey again.
Equip your Arc subclass and the new Exotic (Crown of Tempests, The Sixth Coyote or Dunemarchers); reacquire from Collections if needed.
Earn a B grade or better on an Advanced or higher Solo Op with that setup. Sources describe "The Devils' Lair" Strike with Sepiks Prime for this step in the original version.
Speak with Banshee-44 in the Tower Courtyard.
