The Book of Departures

The Book of Departures is the Dead Orbit philosophical text quoted in the lore of the Anti-Extinction armor. It is a tome of cantos recording the faction's fatalistic beliefs: "Our fundamental principle, to which all the Arachs must swear, is emigration." The role of Arach is called "a curse and a pledge of service", and an Arach's purpose eventually turns from persuasion to selecting the future home. The faction left the Last City during the Endless Night.
