History of The Book of Departures

The Book of Departures is the Dead Orbit philosophical text quoted in the lore of the Anti-Extinction armor. Destinypedia's page (titled "Book of Departure") describes it as a tome of cantos recording the faction's fatalistic beliefs: "Our fundamental principle, to which all the Arachs must swear, is emigration." The role of Arach is called "a curse and a pledge of service", and an Arach's purpose eventually turns from persuasion to selecting the future home. The faction left the Last City during the Endless Night. The title is "Departures" on this wiki and "Departure" on Destinypedia; sources were not checked against the in-game item text.
