The Gorge

Overview

The Gorge is a private region of Kepler placed under quarantine by the Nessian Schism. It first appeared in The Edge of Fate. Its enemy factions are the House of Exile and the Nessian Schism, and its hostile races are the Fallen and the Vex.

The containers and buses here are overgrown with fungus. The Conductor sometimes summons several yellow-bar Cyclopses in a large room; the summon is random, so you may need to check back. Look for the fungal growths on the containers and buses to find the room.

The Gorge Strangelet

The Gorge's capsule is recovered in The Gorge Strangelet, given by the Altar of Relativity. Orin believes the Vex hold a second strangelet capsule that threatens the singularity at Kepler. The Guardian destroys the Vex Minds that refine the Nine's power, then defeats the Vex Mind maintaining the quarantine around the Acceleron and retrieves the capsule in the "Quarantine" mission. Rewards are the Strangelet Capsule and Matterspark II.
