History of The Riposte

Overview

The Riposte is a Legendary Void Primary Auto Rifle with the Lightweight Frame, the only Legendary Lightweight Frame auto rifle at the time of the sources. It is regarded as one of the best auto rifles for PvP, with a bright muzzle flash as its drawback.

Source god rolls (Blueberries.gg): PvE: Fluted Barrel, Ricochet Rounds, Repulsor Brace, Destabilising Rounds, Range masterwork. PvP: Corkscrew Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, Zen Moment, Dynamic Sway Reduction, Range masterwork. Shacknews instead suggests Arrowhead Brake with Tap the Trigger and Kill Clip for PvP, so opinions differ.

Acquisition

Drops from the seven placement matches in the Competitive playlist (Crucible) and then weekly after three Competitive matches per character. Sources say it arrived around The Final Shape (Season 22 per Blueberries.gg). It is not craftable and no Adept version was listed.
