Thorn Catalyst

Overview

Thorn Catalyst is the Exotic Catalyst completion Triumph for Thorn, a Kinetic Hand Cannon. Complete its 700-target defeat objective to unlock the weapon upgrade.

Acquisition

The catalyst drops randomly from Strikes, Gambit, and Crucible activity completions. Obtain it before attempting its upgrade objective; activity rewards are random rather than a guaranteed drop after a fixed number of runs.

How to complete

Equip Thorn and use it to deliver 700 target defeats after obtaining the catalyst. Repeated combatant waves provide steady progress. Keep using the weapon for final blows rather than relying entirely on abilities or another weapon.

Once the kill objective is complete, inspect Thorn and apply its catalyst upgrade.

Rewards

The completed catalyst adds Refined Soul, improving range and stability. Final blows or collecting a Remnant activate additional temporary range, mobility, and handling benefits.
