Tier V Nightmare

The Tier V Nightmare is the fifth and highest tier of Altars of Sorrow, a player-started public event in Sorrow's Harbor on the Moon. Guardians kill waves of Hive and Nightmare enemies to stop Nightmares sacrificing themselves at altars.

Tier V begins with two starting altars, adds a third after four Nightmares are killed, and requires eight kills. The separate Final Tier boss rotates daily between Taniks, Zydron and Phogoth, and defeating it awards the daily weapon. Some triumph listings refer to a Tier V Nightmare boss, so the wording may differ from the Final Tier structure described above.
