History of Treasure Hunt

Overview

The Treasure Hunt is a triumph within Destiny 2. Its objective is to open three Ascendant chests while utilizing the Tincture of Queensfoil in the Dreaming City.

How to complete

To complete this triumph, the guardian must acquire the Tincture of Queensfoil. This consumable item allows access to Ascendant chests, which are otherwise inaccessible. The guardian must locate and open three such chests within the Dreaming City region. Each opened chest counts toward the triumph's progress, requiring a total of three chests to be opened to fulfill the objective.

Chest route and reward

This version of Treasure Hunt belongs to Monument of Triumph's Treasure Hunting category and awards 15 Legendary Marks. Use Tincture of Queensfoil from the consumables inventory to gain Ascendance, revealing platforms and hidden chests. The chest locations change with the Dreaming City curse cycle: Petra Venj is in The Strand during the weak curse, Divalian Mists during the growing curse and Rheasilvia during the strong curse.

During a weak-curse week, three possible stops are:

• Bay of Drowned Wishes: enter the Lost Sector behind the landing zone, climb the tree on the left-hand rock and follow the revealed platforms.
• Divalian Mists: enter the large eastern building, stand beside the left statue and climb the Ascendant platforms.
• Aphelion's Rest: after defeating the boss, continue beyond the normal sector chest without dropping back to the entrance. Stay on the right side of the upper platform to reach the hidden chest.

Open three Ascendant chests with Ascendance active. The normal Lost Sector reward chest is a different chest.
