History of Trial by Valor

Overview

Trial by Valor is a Triumph with a value of 25. It is awarded for completing the bounty of the same name, which is available from Werner 99-40.

How to complete

Obtain the bounty "Trial by Valor" from Werner 99-40. Complete all requirements associated with this bounty to earn the triumph.

Original bounty route

This triumph belongs to the Menagerie records introduced in Season of Opulence. The Trial by Valor weekly bounty required 10 Vanguard daily bounties. Obtain it from Werner 99-40 at the Imperial Barge on Nessus, then obtain the corresponding daily bounties from Commander Zavala. Complete and claim those daily bounties while Werner's weekly bounty is active.

When the weekly bounty produces an Imperial Treasure Map, follow its destination marker and open the treasure chest to finish the bounty's reward route. The original bounty rewards included Runes, Imperials and gear; the triumph itself awards 25 Triumph Score.

The original Werner 99-40 bounty system was retired with Beyond Light on 10 November 2020. Completing modern vendor challenges does not recreate this seasonal bounty.
