Tribute Chests

Tribute Chests are Cabal chests earned from Battlegrounds playlist matches. Completing a playlist Battleground spawns three Cabal Tribute Chests, while completing a map Battleground gives a single chest.

Chests are smashed open with a charged Hammer of Proving. They reward Umbral Engrams, Glimmer and other gear, depending on the hammer's level. In Season of the Chosen, opening all three chests from a playlist match rewarded a piece of Pinnacle gear. The sources cover that season, so check current seasonal guides for how the chests work now.
