History of Turncoat

Turncoat is an Exotic Void Hand Cannon from the Triumphant Reward Pass, released with the Monument of Triumph update in 2026.

Overview

It suits builds around Devour and overshields. It builds Latent Power with damage and final blows; holding reload activates Unleashed Power, which raises fire rate and weakens targets. The drawback, Overwhelming Power, deals damage over time if the mode runs too long, and reloading clears it.

Acquisition

• Triumphant Reward Pass (premium): instant unlock at rank 1.
• Triumphant Reward Pass (free track): unlocks at rank 70.
• The in-game source is "Rewards Pass".

Catalyst

The catalyst unlocks at rank 90 on the Reward Pass and does not need the premium track. It then needs 700 enemy defeats with Turncoat. Shuro Chi in The Last Wish is a suggested farm spot. A masterworked Turncoat gains Void Mastery: a Void Overshield when empowerment ends, scaling with how long you stayed empowered.
