Umbral Focusing

Umbral Focusing is the system the Prismatic Recaster uses to choose the contents of an Umbral Engram during the Season of Arrivals. Each focus consumes Altered Element. The Recaster is an Umbral Research vendor in the Tower Annex.

Focusing types

• Basic: Splits the engram into five categories: Arrivals weapons, Arrivals armor, weapons from the three previous seasons, reissued Gambit and Reckoning weapons, and reissued Vaulted weapons. The first three focuses each week are free, and the rest cost 50 Altered Element each.
• Improved Arsenal: Breaks weapon selection into ten categories, each with two possible drops. Each focus costs 100 Altered Element.
• Improved Armor: Guarantees the engram contains an armor piece with at least 10 points in the chosen stat. Each focus costs 250 Altered Element and one Trace Override.
