Unforeseen Repercussions

Overview

Unforeseen Repercussions is the trait on the Exotic Fusion Rifle One Thousand Voices. The beam superheats whatever it hits. Each target then explodes about 0.75 seconds later for 1300% damage.

Using it

Charge the rifle and paint several targets. The delayed blasts land moments after each hit, so one shot can damage a group.

Obtaining the weapon and catalyst

Complete the Last Wish raid and keep running it, since the weapon is not guaranteed. The Riven drops a Key, which opens chests in the chest room after Queenswalk. The catalyst can drop from the chest at the end of Last Wish, or randomly after the Morgeth encounter in Pantheon. Morgeth is easier to farm repeatedly because it does not require Queenswalk.

PvE and PvP

In community testing the catalyst raised average PvE damage from about 24-26k to 34-36k, though it loses effect when more fireteam members use it. The weapon is a heavy one with a long firing time, so it is weaker in PvP, where faster weapons deal similar damage.
