History of Valiant Charge

Overview

Valiant Charge is a Season 20 Trait for Swords. Taking damage while guarding temporarily extends your sword lunge distance. It is meant to catch enemies who think they are outside your lunge range.

Using it

The trigger is guarding and taking hits, so it suits players who keep their guard up. In PvP, a build with Heavy Guard and Energy Transfer works well together: the guard keeps you blocking, and Energy Transfer generates class ability energy from blocked damage. Community PvE builds usually skip it in favour of Swordmaster's Guard and perks that reward light attacks.
