Vault Keys

Overview

Vault Keys are a quest item for The Bank Job, the step that leads to the Witherhoard catalyst. The quest requires 50 Vault Keys, earned by defeating enemies with kinetic or special grenade launchers. Quick successive kills improve the chance of a key. Killing other Guardians does not count. The steps here come from Season of Arrivals-era guides and may have changed.

Acquisition

Vault Keys drop from enemies defeated with kinetic or special grenade launchers, such as Witherhoard itself, during the quest. Suggested farming spots include Escalation Protocol, the Divine Well, the Contact public event, and the Core Terminus Lost Sector on Mars in Hellas Basin, where enemies cluster for rapid kills.
