Vell Tarlowe

Vell Tarlowe was a male human Striker Titan and former Pilgrim Guard member. The Pilgrim Guard was a Titan order that escorted refugees to the Last City. He forged his Titan Mark from small chains, one for each life he saved, and he saved Eris Morn's life early in his career. He was known for his strength and bravery, and Eris Morn suggested that his more subtle approach may have contributed to his death.

After the Great Disaster, Eris Morn, Eriana-3 and Toland the Shattered formed a small fireteam to kill Crota. Vell volunteered to avenge Guardians Crota's forces had killed. The team also included Omar Agah and Sai Mota. On the Moon, Vell took a leading role in the assault and was eager to face Sardon.

During the assault he was overwhelmed by Thrall summoned by Verok and Alak-Hul. Alak-Hul impaled him on his axe, making Vell the mission's first casualty. His Ghost, Razor, tried to revive him, but the Thrall consumed the Light left in him, and Razor was also killed. See Memory of Vell Tarlowe, a Shadowkeep memento that tells his story.
