Vigilance Wing Catalyst

Overview

Vigilance Wing Catalyst is an Exotic catalyst triumph for Vigilance Wing, a Kinetic Exotic Pulse Rifle that fires five-round bursts using Primary Ammo. Its upgrade requires 250 Guardian defeats in the Crucible and five Blood for Blood medals for avenging teammates.

Acquisition and completion

1. Obtain Vigilance Wing and play Crucible matches. The catalyst is a random reward from Crucible wins. Alternatively, purchase it from Xûr for Strange Coins when it appears in his rotating catalyst stock.
2. Equip Vigilance Wing and earn 250 Guardian final blows in the Crucible. Fight alongside teammates, using cover between bursts and aiming at the head to improve consistency.
3. Earn five Blood for Blood medals while using Vigilance Wing. Defeat an opponent shortly after that opponent kills a teammate. Stay close enough to support allies and focus the enemy responsible when a teammate falls.
4. Finish the upgrade and apply the catalyst through Vigilance Wing's inspection screen, then claim the catalyst triumph. The insertion objective does not require obtaining two separate catalyst drops.

Reward

The completed catalyst adds Ensemble, improving handling and reload speed when allies are nearby, and upgrades Vigilance Wing to a masterwork. Ensemble replaced Full Auto Trigger System on 6 December 2022; older guides describing full auto as the catalyst reward predate that change.
