History of Volatile

Volatile is a Void status effect. A target afflicted with unstable Void energy explodes upon taking additional damage: enemies in PvE explode with minimal damage, while Guardians in the Crucible explode after taking around 200 damage. The explosion is strong enough to kill most rank-and-file enemies. Volatile Rounds is a buff that makes all Void weapons inflict Volatile and can pierce Barrier Champion shields; sources include the Echo of Instability fragment and Gyrfalcon's Hauberk.
