Trait
Withering Gaze
Aiming this weapon for a short period of time without firing grants the ability to weaken the next target. Timer resets after firing or when you stop aiming down sights.
Overview
Withering Gaze is a Basic Trait that works without firing. Aim down sights for a short time without shooting, and the weapon then lets you weaken your next target. Firing or leaving aim resets the timer. It was introduced in Season 25. Guides use it for Boss fights, where Weaken matters. It appears on many weapons, including Sovereignty, Veleda-F and Eyes Unveiled.
Tips
On Lotus-Eater in PvE, Withering Gaze is the Perk 2 alternative to Destabilizing Rounds. Guides treat it as a utility pick there rather than an add-clearing one.
